esx3.5 vs nas, vmotion problem

Hi,

I've to relocate my vm storage.

I've a iomega nas, I can see and access it via nfs in storage section of VM infrastructure centre.

I've installed the vmotion plugin, and i can see the 'migrate storage' option in the vm menù.

When I drug&drop the local storage to nas after few seconds I have that error "the operation is not supported on the object".

in log file I read:

task created: hatask-160-vim.virtualmachine.relocate-3574

activation invoke done[relocate]on[vim.VirtualMachine:160]

Result:

throw vmodl.fault.RequestCanceled

failed to send response to the client: broken pipe

Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

I haven't seen/used this plugin in a long time, but are you trying to drag the local storage (datastore) or the hard disks for VMs over to the NAS? I don't think you can drag the datastore in its entirety, but again it has been a while since I used this.

Good Luck!
