Hi,
I would just want to know what was the diffence between the two SCSI drivers (LSI and Bus Logic) and in which respectively cases would we have to use them ?
Thx

Right ... BusLogic is an older generation of hardware (ca. 2000), LsiLogic is the newer generation.
BusLogic is there for backwards compatability, it's the default SCSI adapter for older OSes like W2K or RH9 because those OSes either ship with a BusLogic driver or are too old to have LsiLogic drivers.
If you are using something recent, LsiLogic is the way to go.
Hello,
It comes down to guest OS support. When you make your selections in the wizard to create a virtual machine the SCSI adapter selected will depend on the guest OS specified. Buslogic is used for older windows installs and LSI for newer.
Ok thx for windows, but for a Linux or a solaris 10 which one is the best choice ?
Thx

...
linux (suse sles8) likes lsi-logic.
it is the standard-scsi-driver.

Here a link to a white paper and some data comparing the two.
