customization of windows 7 template error

I'm deploying a win 7 vm from a template, and I got the customization error described in this article.

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=102071...

The resolution is a bit confusing. it tells you to update vCenter through update manager. Do they mean update the esx hosts?

All my esx hosts are up to date. How do you update vCenter??

go to the download page (where you have downloaded the latest version) and there is a history button which you can click for an older version.

I'm using vCenter 4.0

I cannot upgrade it to 4.1 as my OS is not 64bit. Too much work to upgrade to 4.1

From what I understand I only need to update it to 4.0 Update 1.

The problem is I cannot download these older versions anymore. Is there another way to update to 4.0 U1??
