I created a testing environment, 1x esx host connected via iscsi to a lun on a san
I created a few vm's (4 in total) and backed them up via consolidated backup
I destroyed the VM's on the ESX host then did a browse on the storage and uploaded the consolidated backup files for each vm (5 directories for each vm)
I browse to the vmx and right click then add t inventory etc. Tried to start the VM and i get an error file not found?! (it asked me if i want to keep or have a new UUID, i selected new)
The LUN on the san has changed, as i'm trying to emulate a possible disaster so this might have something to do with it
Anyone tried something similar and got it to work ?
