can ESX 3.5 by managed by VIC 2.02?

we're discussing about installing a ESX 3.5 on two new hosts but I can't seem to find any info on if you can continue to use VIC at our current version of 2.02 with the ESX 3.5 host. mainly we're just concerned about the network VLans and start and stopping clients...

does anyone know for sure?

From what I've read you must upgrade to 2.5 in order to manage 3.5 hosts

what about manging ESX 3.0.2 hosts with VIC 2.5? The admin manual isn't too clear about that....

Also from what I have read, there haven't been many problems with that. There is actually a discusson open on that from earlier today:

Definitely possible for VC 2.5 to manage 3.0.2 hosts

page 2 of the 3.5 compatibility guide has the complete matrix of which versions of VC can manage which host versions
