alarm option greyed out in VC

hi there,

I'd like to configure our virtual center server to generate email alarms, however the alarm option is greyed out.

We are running VC 4.1 standard.

Is this a licensing restriction?

Cheers,

H

At the bottom of the Alarm Settings, do you see a message stating "This alarm was defined in XYZ. Alarm settings are read-only except when accessed through the object where they were defined." ? If so, you may have to just go up the object tree to find where it was created to modify it, e.g. if you're looking at the Datacenter level then move up to the vCenter level.
