add VMware server host to VC, error:failed to configure management account

I used a Virtual Infrasture Client connecting to Virtual Infrasture Server, then I tried to add a vmware server host, Virtual Infrasture Server can list the host summary such as name, vendor and version, but failed to connect to it at the last step.

If I use VMware Server Console to connect to the host with same settings, it works well.

VMware Server 1.0.3. and VC 2.0.1.

Has anyone ever seen something like this?How to fix it?

I don't think you're going to have any luck with this.

According to the VMware Server 1.0.3 release notes, VC1.4 is the only supported release

for management of VMware Server.

This is not possible in the current version of VirtualCenter, there have been hints that they may include this capability in a future release.
