You do not appear to have a valid CD-ROM device. If this is a CD-ROM device

I'm trying to create a new VM thru VI3 from a bootable Windows 2008 Server disk on my workstation. When I try to connect my DVD-ROM drive to the VM in the Virtualcenter client it gives me the following error repeatedly.

"You do not appear to have a valid CD-ROM device. If this is a CD-ROM device try enabling legacy emulation mode..."

I have the VM CD-ROM "Device Type" set to the "Client Device" option. The "Mode" setting is on "Passthrough IDE (recommended)"

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

I changed the "Mode" settings to "Emulate IDE" and it works.
