Windows Template Using Resources

Virtual Center indicates that my Windows 2003 template is comsuming CPU and memory. The virtual machine was powered down before I converted it. How can this be?

Chris, let me know: a vm template is a not powered on vm and it's not use any cpu or mameory resource. (Only disk space)

A vm template will use cpu o memory resource if you convert it in a normal vm and power on it.

If you click on your template and go to the left side of the summary tab, under resources, everything should be at zero. If that is not the case, try restarting the management service or the vc agent on the host in which your template lives.

service vmware-vpxa restart

service mgmt-vmware restart
