Win2k3 SP2

Hi all,

We are currently running our VI server on a Win2k3 R2 with the SQL 2005 DB (DB is not SP1) running on separate Win2k3 machine. Both are currently running SP1 and we would like to upgrade to SP2 on both machines.

We don't have the test environment to try it out on right now and wanted to see if anyone else has attempted the upgrade yet or has their VI server(s) running on a Win2k3 SP2 machine.

I'm still fairly new in the IT world (1st year outta school) and is there any other precautions that should be taken care of before hand other then the basics (Full Backup on Tape prior to starting, Power Cycle before/after updates)

I appreciate all of your help in advance.

Thanks,

-Joe

Should work fine. But yes, always make a full backup and restart the servers. See this post as well regarding the same topic http://www.vmware.com/community/message.jspa?messageID=626085

I have a few VC servers running on W2K3R2 SP2 - no issues so far.

A backup is always a good idea Smiley Wink
