Win XP P to V to slow

Hello,

I have just virtualised a WinXP Pro PC. The physical PC itself runs fine, but the virualised version is terrible, it's CPU seems to be always at 100%, but them memory is low. In task manager it seems to be a process called svhost.exe.

I have had to give it 2 CPU's to be able to do anything on it and this is more than some of our servers :S

Does XP have any know issues in ESXi 4.1?

Thanks

I do not see any issue (and on View I use XP with 512 RAM and 1 vCPU).

Maybe your XP was the result of a P2V?

Perhaps I should just build an XP VM from scratch, rather than P to V, so much customised software on this physical PC though Smiley Sad

The problem is not related only to the software, but to also all the drivers.

For this reason could be better make a clean VM instead of P2V.
