When to Separate Web Client Server and vCenter Server

When installing vsphere 5.1, when is it necessary to have a separate VM for the Web Client Server?  Assuming I have already determined to separate Single Sign on Server and vCenter Server, what factors determine whether it is a good idea to run Web Client Server separately from vCenter Server?

Is this necessary only if I have a very large environment or are there other advantages to separating Web Client Server and vCenter Server?

HI,

As of now, I have not come across any specific use case, where it recommends to install vSphere Web client on seperate machine.  If  machine has minimum system requirement , then we should not see any performance issue with vSphere Web client , if you are installing with vCenter server in same machine.

Check this link which talks about requrement of CPU and memory based on number of ESXI host for vCenter server and also  system requirement for vSphere Web client.
