What is the maximum number of hosts/VMs that can be agregated in a DRS enabled cluster?

I am almost sure I read that somewhere but could not find it anymore.

Thanks

The maximum number of hosts in a DRS cluster is 32. The maximum number of guests in virtual center is 2000. I dont think you will be able to run that many on your 32 hosts Smiley Happy

Check the following doc: http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi3_35/esx_3/r35/vi3_35_25_config_max.pdf

Hosts = 32 for a DRS enabled cluster and 16 for an HA enabled cluster

As most clusters are enabled for both, 16 is the usual maximum but 10-12 is a more workable maximum to try to keep to.

Chris: In VC 2.5 the maximum number of hosts in a HA cluster is 32.

Chris is referencing the old VC 2.0 maximum settings. Depending on the users Virtual Center version they we either get 16 nodes in an HA enabled cluster with VC 2.0 or 32 nodes with VC 2.5.

Hope that helps!
