We have been using ESX for a couple of years. Currently, we are running vCenter 4 (Database - SQL Server 2005 in mixed mode) with Update Manager add-on.
Our NOS will be migrating from Novell to Active Directory in the near future.
We would like to know what will be the change we need for users in vCenter Server for Active Directory ?
Currently, we just create vCenter users and assign different roles to them.
Your advice is much appreciated.
Not necessarily, it depends on how you want to run it. But it is easier to go with domain accounts.

You work with vCenter server local users?
The "only" thing which changes is that you can add AD users to vCenter. If you stay with the local users you need to use these credential when you log on.

Thanks for your advice.
Yes, we are using local user for vCenter Server.
Should we remove those local users if we have created AD users ?
Thanks again
