Hi, your performance statitistics rollup jobs aren't working.

This KB should explain how to fix that:http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=100438...

And this post is from my blog, and explains what the rollup jobs do and how statistitics are collected.

Hope this helps.

What database are you using? SQL?

I have seen this happen when vCenter is upgraded from previous versions and somehow the database cleanup jobs are not created. You can easily recreate these jobs by runing the DB specific files under Program Files>VMware>Infrastrucure>VirtualCenter Server> you will see file with a suffix of (mssql, oracle, db2).

Hi

If you go into your vCenter server settings and statistics section and reapply your settings it should fix the problem and start the rollups again

Hello vLarus,

Thanks for your reply before Smiley Happy

I see the KB Article and that say the problem occurs when updating rollup jobs after the error: Performance data is currently not available for this entity. But, I have try to gather performance data in ones vm in vcenter and that is collect good. I can see the performance in 1 day, week, and year. there is no problem.

another myy question,

Do I need to restart the vcenter service if I run the KB recommendation ( the KB is not say it ) ? for information, I using vcenter server heartbeat 6.4 Smiley Happy

Thanks,

Mansur
