Vmware virtual center service problem after reboot

Hello,

After rebooting my server with vCenter 4U2 installed, vcenter service won't start automatically.

when i start the service manually it's work.

The server is a domain member and vpxd service has dependencies: MSSQL$SQLEXP_VIM

ADAM_VMwareVCMSDS.

My vpx logs are attached.

Thanks for help and sorry for my bad english.

Hi, even if your dependancy is service is your SQL instance the database can take longer to start and become available. You could try setting the auto restart on the service or try setting the dependancy to a later starting service, maybe the print spooler?

Thanks,

Neil

Which account you are using to login to the virtual center?

Did your VC has Linked mode enable?

Domain or Local.

It seems to be it unables to authenticate from the domain controller.

Please read the official VMware KB article KB1007669 - VMware VirtualCenter service does not start automatically after reboot for how to resolve this issue.

logging:nt authority/system

vcenter server is a domain member

all my DC are OK

How vpxdldap works? he was bind to one specific DC?

because before migrating my AD, the service can reboot.

And after migration one old DC was stoped.

The other explication is thesqlexpress update with sp3.
