Vmware vAPI Endpoint Service alarm

I keep getting this alert in a vcenter 6.0

I restarted the vapiendpoint service with the service-control command and did not resolve it

any idea?

Here is the command to restart the service as well :

service-control --stop vmware-vapi-endpoint

service-control --start vmware-vapi-endpoint

i already tried that and the alerms keep coming back

could you try below steps please:

cd /etc/vmware-content-library/config/

cp ts-config.properties ts-config.properties.orig

cp ts-config.properties.rpmnew ts-config.properties.rpmnew.orig

mv ts-config.properties.rpmnew ts-config.properties

service-control --stop vmware-content-library;service-control --start vmware-content-library

service-control --stop vmware-vapi-endpoint

service-control --start vmware-vapi-endpoint

Ditch your Windows vCenter in favor of the appliance where this tends not to happen, or open a SR with VMware to keep troubleshooting.

  • Login to vCenter server using web-client interface.
  • Home --> Administration --> System Configuration --> Nodes
  • Under Services Health do you see any critical alerts? If yes please share screenshots.

Usually this alarm triggers when we have old endpoint entries in lokkup service. Please open case with VMware support to resolve the issue.
