We have esx3.0.2 build 61618 running with Vmotion enabled as automatic mode. I have noticed that when vmotion is happening at around 94% of completion the Ping time-out once. This is affecting our ISA2004 VM as one timeout in the ping actually disconnecting the MS firewall service and hence loose connection to the Internet. Did anyone had this issue and how to resolve it.
You could change the automation level for that particular VM so it is not fully automated. If you edit settings of your cluster, VMware DRS, Virtual Machine Options, you can choose the vm and change the automation level to manual.
