Hi all. I've configured a vCenter 2.5 U3 and a couple of ESX 3.5.0 servers.
I've got 50 ESX standard licenses and 60 VirtualCenter agents in all, as I can see from the Administration -> Licenses page. And I've found out that only 1 VirtualCenter agent is available while there are stil 28 ESX Server licenses remaining.
So my question is, if the ESX server license and the VirtualCenter agents are both distributed on per CPU basis, why is there so big a gap between the numbers of licenses and agents consumed?
Is there any way to reclaim the VirtualCenter agents if they are not properly working? Since I still have a lot of ESX servers to add to the Virtual Center and I can't do that without enough VirtualCenter agents.
