VirtualCenter Management Server Configuration problems

I'm trying to configure virtual center to send out e-mails when an alarm reaches a certain threshold, but I need to configure the VirtualCenter Management, but when I go to it it says No such host is known, what would I have to do to fix this? It is a licensed version also.

Did you try to connect with the VI Client from a remote desktop connection to the VC itself? Use localhost there and see if it's the same message.

I'm using IP Address of the Exchange Server and not the DNS. And it works.
Target: x.x.x.x
Old Status: Gray
New Status: Red
Current value:
Host Memory Usage - (Metric Memory Usage (Average) = 93%)
Alarm: Host Memory Usage
([Yellow Metric Is Above 75%; Red Metric Is Above 90%])
Description:
Alarm Host Memory Usage on x.x.x.x changed from Gray to Red

I have that set up fine, its the toolbar Administration -> VirtualCenter Management Server Configuration

When I click that it gives me No such host is known, and doesn't even let me bring up the application.

Yes I did connect on local host, and it wasn't the same message which led me to believe that it was a dns issue, we're on the phone with vmware so I'll just go ahead and close this.
