Virtual center version 4 Down

HI Friends,

Recently i Stopped the service of Virtual center to take backup of database using data migration tool of Vcenter 4.1.After backup when i restarted the Service back it never started .MY sql service is UP and running but Virtual center service is Down..Need Help .VPXD log are attached .

The tools is not a backup tool, but a migration tools.

Now you have the DB in 4.1 format and vCenter in 4.0 version that is not compatible.

hi,

But The backup which i took using Datamigration tool is also not starting up when i restored it on Destination server.Now neither the source is working and neither the New Destination VC 4.1 Is there any way to resolve this issue.

You haven't a backup of your vCenter DB?

How much is complex your infrastructure? If you have only a few hosts and few resource pools you can simple start with a new DB.
