Virtual Storage Console Storage Controller

Hello all. I am having a problem with this plugin. I was able to install it and add the storage controller in the main view and I can see the data stores. However if I try to add the storage controller to "Provisioning and Cloing" I keep getting an error stating Cannot Add new storage controller: "Connection Timeout". I have network

connectivity from the vCenter VM to my NetApp so I am not sure what the problem is. Also I am able to add the store controller to the rapid cloning utility without a problem. So I am able to do rapid cloning but I can't provision datastores. Any ideas?

Hi Kwillacey,

Welcome to the forums.

I found the following article in NetApp's knowledge base. Just to summarize, it looks like when using FCP or iSCSI, you also need to install an NFS license on your controller for this sub-plugin to work properly...

Hope it helps.

Regards

Franck

I do have the NFS license installed......

Even though I am not using NFS the service is also running and the error I am getting is connection timout, which makes no sense because I have connectivity to it from the vCenter VM and I am able to add a storage controller using the rapid cloning utility.

I just can't figure it out.
