‘Virtual Ethernet Adapter’ is of type which is not supported after vCenter 4.1 install

Hi,

I just did a fresh install of vcenter 4.1 and added some hosts.

Two hosts are v4 U 2 and one is ESXi 4.1.

When I migrate VMs (no matter what OS) I get the message:

Migrate from servername1 to servername2 : Virtual ethernet card ‘Virtual Ethernet Adapter’ is of type which is not supported. This is not a limitation of the host in general, but of the virtual machine’s configured OS on this host. Never had this issue with v4 U 2

The VM seems to be using the vmxnet driver. It happens when trying to migrate to the ESXi4.1 host as well as the ESX 4 U 2 host. I want to clear out the latter so I can install ESXi on all of them.

Anyone seen this before? I haven't updated tools etc just yet

Cheers
