We plan to have 1 VC for each of the 2 datacentres (physical sites). We plan to create 2 logical "datacentres" (and cluster/clusters within) reflecting the 2 physical datacentres and want each VC be able to see and manage both.
How do we best setup the 2 VCs? each VC will have its own SQL dbase and replicated across? or both VCs connect to same single SQL dbase (then ahve to make sure this dbase is DR-ed across sites)..
thanks

I would just setup one vCenter server - and create a site "datacenter" within it, ie: Datacenter: SiteA, Datacenter: SiteB then put all your hosts/clusters from SiteA in SiteA etc....
You will need to setup your network properly though to allow VC communication between sites from the esx hosts, to the vCenter server..
The 2 sites are well connected. If only 1 VC, how can I DR it to the other site? Can I have 2 VCs, one at each site to manage the one ESX infrastructure across both sites?
thanks
