Virtual Centre Integration with HP Rapid Deployment Server.....

The HP Rapid Depoloyment Server 6.8 suggests that you can point it to the location where Virtual Centre is installed and it will query all the hosts and create a directory of all the VM`s that you can roll jobs out to.

I have tried this with little success.....i have the ADLAgent installed on a host that is attahed to the Virtual Center and this communicates OK as it has recieved an Inventory...

When i try to add the Virtual Centre to the RDP console i get "the underlying connect was closed, unable to connnect to the remote server", or "could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS"

The first i am guessing is the wrong port, but the second suggest the call is being rejected....which port should i be using ??

NOTE :- Both RDP console and Virtual centre are on the same server so it should not be a physical connection issue... more likely a configuration or user error

Mine was not that hard. In the Rapid Deployment I define my Virtual Center and add the account needed to connect. Viola it was all there

Both the Virtual Centre and RDP are on a DL385...

I think its a port issue, how can i tell what port the virtual centre is listening on ??

The default port does not work but i can connect to the VMWare Web interface on port 80 so general connectivity is good.....

The same problem :/.

HTTPS and HTTP connection over IE7.0 works, but with certification error. The certificate is installed in browser, but the error is persistent. IE mean, the certificate is not for this maschine URL and first block the communication. On continue, the website comes up and I can use the Interface normaly.

In Tomcat configuration I found the direct access to port 8433 is not configured (doc's say, thats is default for new Tomcat version), but 443 is redirected to 8443. Connect to 443 over HP RDP --> Bad Request, error 400.

Connect to 8086 (default HTTP access from VC Web Access installation) over HP RDP --> SSL/TLS error.

IIS is installed without web-service, only for FTP service.

Require the communication from HP RDP to VC Web Access a correct certificate? If the answer was yes, howto make it?

Require the communication from HP RDP to VC Web Access a change to Tomcat for activate port 8443? In this case, how can I import a vmware certificate for this, while Tomcat search the .keystore file on default in VC connect" information in HP RDP?

Or works it only this VMware SDK's are installed?

Questions over questions.

Best Regards

Andreas
