Virtual Center logs path

I have my virtual center installed on a seperate physical 2003  server.  When I installed it I pointed it to install on a different partition (E:) other than the boot drive (C:).  The drive space on the C: has been growing for awhile now, and I noticed there are about 3 gig worth of logs on C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware.  Would it be ok to move these to E: or even delete these logs?  Can I point the Virtual Center server to put the log files on E: instead?

Hello.

Check out kb 1009145.  For step 4, I would stop the vCenter Server service, move the current log directory and then restart the vCenter Server service.

Good Luck!

I removed the statement:

<directory>E:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\Logs</directory>

from vpxd.cfg and it will not start.

What did you use to edit the file?  Does the vpxd.log file report any errors?

ok got it.  Even though the directory is empty, do not delete the folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\sysprep
