Virtual Center doesen´t interact with virtual machines

Hello,

first some facts:

ESX 3.01 Host Build: 42829

Virtual Center 2.01 Build: 32042

My Problem is that i can´t full access my virtual machines via vc.

Example:

I give the power on command to an virtual machine the vc task is in progress an nothing happens. If i directly connect to an esx host and check the state of the virtual machine the vm is still powerd off. Directly connected to the host i can power up the virtual machine without any problems.

I´m not sure what effects the other running vm guest could effect.

Try restarting the following service on the ESX host by logging into the console nd typing the following command

service mgmt-vmware restart

Once it has restarted then tsee if it works.

Failing that reboot the VC server and the ESX host.

Also try re-starting the vmware-vpxa service on the ESX server and if that does not work restart the VC Service on the VC Server. You shouldn't have to restart the ESX server.
