Can I add a VMWare Server 1.0.2 that runs it's own set of VM's as a host to VC 2.5 for central management?

You can find a compatability guide to what version of VC supports which product here - page 2 - . There may be support for VMware Server 2.0 in VC 2.5 or higher - http://communities.vmware.com/message/834819#834819.

I believe that only VC manages ESX servers.
