Virtual Center Server Plugins

Hello All:

If I download and install the VMware Update Manager Extension V 1.0 and VMware converter enterprise 1.0 in Virtual Center Server 2.5, do I have to restart the ESX hosts or the VMs? Please see the attached screenshot.

Thanks.

Hi,

No you don't have to restart ESX hosts, VMs or VC Smiley Happy

All you need to do is, click on "Download and Install" button for the plug-in, complete the installation wizard, and after the plug-in has been installed, go to Installed tab and tick the checkbox to enable the plug-in.

After that, you can use Update Manager and Converter Enterprise.

Thanks.

After downloading and installed you might have to goto the second tab that says "Installed" and click on Check boxes that say Enable. Its easy to miss this part.
