Have a site w/ 3 ESX servers running 3.5U1 talking to a VC server running 2.5U2. Using SQL Express. Any time we try to do anything to an ESX host in VC the client hangs...sits...sits...sits..and then gives a "remote server took too long to respond" message. It doesn't use CPU while it waits. I can click on VMs and look at performance, etc, just fine but if I try to pull up configuration or licensing information on an ESX host it fails. It also times out when moving VMs between hosts.

Couple of things I can think of is

*reconnect hosts in VC

*restart hosts

*Make sure your DNS have all correct entries of your hosts as well as VC server.

*reinstall VC will be another option, It has fixed couple of my issues.

*Downgrade to VC 2.5
