Can I ask why you want to use XP? Do you not have any Server Licenses? Remember vCenter can run as a VM if it's just a hardware issue.

Since Windows XP SP2 is only supported, you may be limiting yourself......but just my two cents.

The customer has two ESXi hosts, each having one virtual Server installed.

The customer is new to Vmware , and had to purchase tow Windwos 2008 licences - as they are not very big at present however in a year are hoping to expand.

The wanted to use Veeam Backup to take snapshot backups - however Veeam do not allow this on Vmware's request - the customer ended up buying the Essentials bundle for ESXi and then the Veeam software.

They have already got a licence for XP Pro - however no real requirements for Virtual Center at present - only Snapshot backups.
