Vcenter4 Repair or Reinstall

My Vcenter install is not healthy. I know this because I was troubleshooting why in the Performance tab of any host it displays the error: This program cannot display the webpage. I looked this up and it was mentioned to check the VMware Virtual Centre Management Webservices service. That service is missing! Also, the VI client that I download from my VCenter homepage is corrupt. What I'd like to do is attempt a repair but if it gets to the point that I have to reinstall, how will that affect existing HA/DRS clusters? Do I recreate the cluster and add the hosts in directly or do I add them outside the cluster and then move them in? I have a lot of datacenters with hosts defined. Is there anyway to back that config up and import into the new install? Thanks for your time.

My VC is running in a VM.

It is VC4 update 1.

It is pointing to SQL 2008 on a physical server.

There is no repair option it still removes and re-installs. This will be fine as long as you choice not to start with a new database or other words keep the current database intact. Do you have IIS running on the vCenter VM? If so then remove that service
