Vcenter linked mode and database

Hi all,

I am going to install 2 Vcenter in Linked Mode, each with it' s own local database, on in a production site and another in DR site,

Qestion: do I have to do some consideration regarding the database? I mean, providing that I use the same version of db server on both sites, do I have to consider some other issues? When the production site goes down, will I be able to use the Vcenter in the DR site without any problem?

Thanks

Angelo

....just to add a little. All linked mode provides is a single point of read only management. All vCenter instances still have to be administered separately.

The vCenter in the DR will continue to run if the production site goes down -

if you are thinking in a DRP scenario, then you would need to consider VMware vCenter Server Heartbeat
