Vcenter Server missing in Web Client

I just upgraded my vcenter 4.1 installation to 5.1. The installation worked with no errors, but when i log into the web client, i get an error message telling me, that there could be made no connection to my vcenter server. The address the connection is tried to is

so the connection string is missing the server name. It should be like "https://vcenter.my-domain.local:443/sdk". There must have something gone wrong with the vcenter server registration. How can i change this address to the right one ?

Thanks for the help

Hi, I'm not entirely sure because I haven't encountered it before ... Well, not this particular situation... But you could try to use the register-is tool ...

The step Reregister vCenter Server with Inventory Service in this KB:
http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=203362...

Now, there's also an unregister tool (unregister-is), maybe if first trying the reregister doesn't work, you could first unregister the faulty one...
