Vcenter Server UI not opening & showing DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Hi,

Having problem to open vCenter UI (LAUNCH VSPHERE CLIENT (HTML5)) after I clicked on it.

But VMware Appliance Management working properly.

I am getting below error:

This site can’t be reached

vcsa.vmlab.local’s server IP address could not be found.

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Any Help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Compare the DNS server details from the working win server machine with this win10 machine.

We should be able to access vcenter clients from client OS as well.

Hi,

I don't quite understand where you intend to go. If you need to access VAMI, you need to add port 5480

https://<IpvCenter>or<FQDN>:5480

in your case

If you are trying to access vCenter to manage virtual machines, it means that there is a problem of network reachability between the client in which the browser is opened, towards the vCenter IP address.

Check if there are firewalls that block reachability.

------------

Finally, check the functionality of the vCenter services, in particular restart the "vpxd" service

Check the dns resolution of the vcenter fqdn and IP from the machine where you are trying to access it.

Hi,

I already created AD DS, DNS  on windows 2k19 server. created 3 dns records along with reverse dns records.

I can access the esxi65-01.vmlab.local(192.168.1.121), vcsa.vmlab.local(192.168.1.131) on windows server 2019(192.168.1.111).

I can access using "https://192.168.1.131:5480" easily with my windows 10 chrome browser.

But can't access https://192.168.1.131/ui/", it is redirecting vcsa.vmlab.local, after that page showing error message.

I turned off windows 2019 DC firewall, turned off windows 10 defender firewall too.

I can access all the esxi host, vcenter host on windows server machine, but not outside (windows 10 machine).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
