Vcenter Server Database

Any thoughts on moving the Vcenter Database off the physcial server to our SQL 2005 VM? Both are running Server 2003.

Thanks

nope... I foresee no problems either way. SQL as a VM is fully supported, so you would just have to update your ODBC information.

I see no issue with it. I would say, if your vCenter is a VM, and your VCDB will be a VM, set a DRS rule to keep the two together. Also, set the restart priority to HIGH on both VM's.

My vCenter server is a physical and not a VM. I was thinking about moving the vCenter database off the physical server and to our SQL 2005 VM. I wasn't sure if pointing the database to a VM would cause any problems.
