Vcenter Foundation vs Standard vs Essenstials

Hi,

I have checking around the net o find out the technical diffrence between Vcenter Foundation vs Standard vs Essenstials, but not able to find it.

The only diffrence I can find is that Vcenter foundation supports only upto 3 Hosts, but some sites also mention that ther is no HA in foundation.

I am looking for some reliable source for this information, but could not find it even on VMware site.

Does any one has any Idea about it.

Regards

Hello.

Check out the Pricing, Packaging and Licensing Overview white paper. It should help.

Good Luck!

Essential is just a bundle that include vCenter Foundation and some ESX.

vCenter Foundation is limited to only 3 hosts (but each hosts must be licensed, so no free ESXi).

vCenter Standard has no hosts limits (but each hosts must be licensed) and include also linked mode and Orchestrator.
