VSphere Console Performs Poorly

I am running ESX 4.1 and have VMWare tools installed on the vm's. I am seeing poor performance on some my vm's when I view the console (both 2003 R2 and 2008 R2). Mouse is gittery. I have hardware acceleration set to max.

Not sure about 2003 R2, for 2008 R2 you may have to update the VGA driver (see http://www.boche.net/blog/index.php/2010/03/28/windows-2008-r2-and-windows-7-on-vsphere/)
