I currently have 5 vSphere hosts that are still running the default EST tagging so I'm managing VMs on different subnets by manually plugging specific NICs into that subnet. I'd like to convert everything over to VST tagging and just had a couple of questions.
1. I've read some users having issues where the vSphere hosts lose connectivity to the vCenter server when they configure VST. I just want to verify that I need to add another NIC to my vCenter server that is plugged into the same subnet that the Service Console is running on?
2. Is this something that will require downtime for ALL the VM's that are running or is there a method of setting up new vSwitches with the proper trunk configs then moving the VMs to the new switch.
