VMware vCenter Converter Standalone - Reconfigure destination VM option

Hey,

I'm exporting a VM from one vCenter to import on another vCenter using the standalone converter. I notice that there's a "Reconfigure destination virtual machine" option in the Advanced Options section of the "View/Edit Options" window. The pop-up over that option states that "Reconfiguration makes the guest OS bootable in a VMware virtual machine".

I was just wondering if this option is required since I'm migrating VMs between vCenters. I'm not having any problem leaving it checked, but I would like to know if I can uncheck it safely, just for my own curiosity. If no-one knows for sure, I'll test it and see what happens.

Cheers,

G
