VMware VirtualCenter Management Webservices did not start automatically

I noticed if I shutdown vCenter Server PC, the VMware VirtualCenter Management Webservices service would not start, even the service is set to start automatically. I have to manually click on start to start "VMware VirtualCenter Management Webservices" the service.

The SQL is installed on the local PC.

I also am having this issue. Did you ever find a resolution?

probably it is starting too early before sql and the rest get started. you could delay the startup say after a few minutes? or after the sql and the vcenter server service are up.

Only this server does not start?

The VirtualCenter Server service starts fine?

The machine meets the minimum requirements (2 core, 3 GB RAM)?

With a local SQL could be better use more RAM.

No, I put the delay. Sometime it works, and sometime it does not.

BUT, I noticed that this only happens on Windows Server 2008 64-bit, and not on Window Server 2003 32-bit. Both are Standard edition.

Window Server 2003 32-bit? So you have still vCenter 4.0?

Is the latest update version?

On Windows 2008 64-bit, we are using the 4.1. It has issue with Virtual Center Managment Webservices.

On Windows 2003 32-bit, we are using the 4.0. No issue with the services at startup.

Hi:

We had same problem with 2008 R2 64 bit and we solved it by changing the webservices service from Automatic start to Automatic (Delay). This service has a dependency with VMware Virtual Center service.
