VMware Vcenter 5.5 download Link

Hello,

I want to install VCenter please share the exact link of download VMware vcenter server as there are many Vcenter products i want the one who is managing the multiple Esxi hosts. I download one of the file which is OVA format it can't executable.

You will have to first build/install a ESXi host. Then the OVA that you downloaded will work. you will have to deploy the OVA on the ESXi host.

Hello Abhi Thanks for the reply, I have already build the ESXI host and create one virtual machine on it and i want to install Vcenter on that virtual machine for that i need Vcenter s/w , and there are many Vcenter products which is correct one for managing more then one ESXI hosts.

You dont have to create a virtual machine and install vcenter. You can connect to esxi host using vSphere client, Click File--->Deploy OVF template and browse the OVA file and deploy it. Building a vcenter is a tedious task as it needs lot of requirements. this is a easier task.

As Abhilash mentioned,you can deploy the OVF on a ESX box.

i tried this but gives me error The OVF file doesn't supported on the host you are installing, My ESXI is 5.5 and Vspher client is also 5.5

Can you paste a screenshot of the error you are getting? You tried deploying OVA file right?

To deploy the vCenter Server Appliance 5.x:

Launch the vSphere Client or vSphere Web Client.

Go to File > Deploy OVF Template.

Browse to the location of the vCenter Server Appliance downloaded .ova or the .ovf file and click Open.

In the OVF Template Details page, click Next.

In Name and Location, enter the name of your vCenter Server Appliance and click Next.

Select a datastore and click Next.

Select a disk format and click Next.

Click Finish.

You are deploying vcops. That wI'll have multiple VM's in it. Can you paste the name of the OVA you are deploying?

That's not vCenter OVA. You will have to download and deploy vCenter server appliance OVA.

Whatever you have tried is for vcops.You need to choose

VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_OVF10.ova

You have to download all three files. .ovf, .vmdk and .mf.

If you don't have all three files the deployment will fail. Are you tring to deploy OVA or OVF?

You will get the VMDK and MF files right from where you downloaded OVF file.

Better download OVA file as it wil have all these bundled together.
