VMotion Error at 90% - Error 16

I have a problem with 1 VM that won't VMotion. When it tries, it gets all the way to 90% then throws up the following error:

A general system error occured: Failed waiting for data. Error 16. Invalid argument

I've tried moving it to multiple hosts, but it always fails at the same point. All other VMs in this cluster are moving around without issues.

Any help appreciated.

Did you check in the vmware.log for the instance - sometimes has useful information

Had a look in the vmware.log for the VM in question, and doesn't seem to show anything helpful. You can follow the migration all the way through from the start to where the error occurs, and the only failure you see is the following:

Mar 14 10:50:06.139: vmx| LogBackupByRenumber: failed to remove /vmfs/volumes/47b55366-d975670b-c04f-00145ef53dd8/CLPPRBWCKDB01/vmware-3.log failed: Device or

resource busy

Try to disable your vmotion and reenable it.
