VMFS Volumes

I am running Virtual Center 2.5 with four ESX host all in the same cluster. By using WinSCP, when I browse to the vmfs\volumes directory on all of the ESX host it shows me all the LUN folders which has a little black arrow. Does that mean those folders are shortcuts that are pointing to my CX 300 fibre channel storage array? My ESX servers have only 130GB of total space so I know it can not hold all the LUN information. I boot from SAN and all VMDK's are on the SAN. I'm guessing they are shortcuts pointing to my SAN. Is this correct?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, I believe you are correct those shortcuts are your storage datastores pointing back to the LUNs on your CX300.

I see same thing using Veeam FASTSCP. Smiley Happy

You are correct. You should see your datastores there.
