we encounter a problem when trying to update the vmtools from our linux vms to the latested version.
to reduce the expenditure we want to use our proven deploy tools spacewalk and puppet. the deployment
works in our test run. the only thing thats suspicious is that in the vcenter summary the vmware tools status appears with this
Third Party / Independent - not managed by vmware.
I´m confused. seems they´re runnig but can´t get status with vcenter. what is wrong. anyone can help ? thx in advance.
