VM connection failed

Hi,

We have a vSphere 5.5 environment, Two VMs from 30 VMs have a rare problem, At morning when the user wants to connect to it throw Remote Desktop it sees an error like there was no network connection. I checked the vmware tools status in the summery tap it says no vmware tools running!!!!! But yes there is vmware tools. Then when I lunch the console of that VM and click in it, Then its fixed, The user can connect and vmware tools says it running.(Only lunching the console from web client fixes that problem) and I have to do this all days. Any help please?

Hey,

sounds like some power saving options might be enabled. I'd check for that first.

Did you try removing tools and reinstalling?  And Tim might be correct, when I upgraded my test lab to 5.5 and installed a new Win7 desktop it kept going into suspend mode due to power saving options of the VM and I'm not referring to Windows power options.  Edit the settings of the VMs and verify that is not the case.
