I am running the vCenter Server Appliance 5.5 U1 in a Cisco UCS environment. I am trying to set up a VM with VM-FEX / Direct Path I/O and am having problems. I read something somewhere indicating that VM-FEX may not be supported with the vCenter Appliance, but is supported with a Windows-based vCenter. Does anyone know if this is true, or has anyone had success setting up a VM for VM-FEX in the Cisco UCS environment using a vCenter Server Appliance.
