after we upgraded to VIC 2.5 update 3 with a MS-SQL2005 remote backend both on win2003 sp2 physical systems (HP DL380 G5)...
About once or twice a week, we have to restart VIC services (vpxd) to clear stale or hanging tasks or events in the VIC's 'recent task' panel that won't update, finish, timeout or roll off..
when we check the esx host (all at ESX 3.5 u3 post dec/jan patches), the task or event has finished or timeout (or not running)...
the VIC (administration > system logs) system logs don't show any errors or issues..
we're not seeing any network or backend SQL (like writing, locks or blocking) issues and the VIC's windows event logs show nothing that might be a reason for this issue....
is there a reason, or fix and/or has anyone else seen this issue?
