Hi- my company has an offline activation script for Vcenter called vmdiscovery.pl is that a generic script or somehting specific to my company? I am having issues with running the script
there is no script, that I am aware of, that VMware provides to activiate/license vCenter. Activation is done by installing the license key during the vCenter install, or after by going to Administration--vCenter Server Settings--Licensing.
I'd suggest you open the script with a text editor and check whether there is some header information provided about the author and the usage of the script.
