VCenter User Permissions Audit

Hi

Is there anyway to audit the adding/removing of permissions within VirtualCenter. You can see in the eventlog when a user logs in but nothing appears to be logged for when an admin edits/adds the permissions for another user.

Can this be done?

Hi Mick,

You can have a look at the following document. It gives a lot of interesting details about events you can catch and treat, in particular permissions.

Hope it helps. Good luck.

Regards

Franck

Hi, sorry for the posting since this topic is rather old but if someone is still looking for a solution for auditing permissions, there is more easy way to do it, take a look at Netwrix Auditor for VMware it has 20 days free trial. It will help you to overview not only permissions changes but also all configuration changes on a daily basis and prepare reports for your IT compliance.
